CHRISTIANA MANGIAPANE, LMSW

Assistant Vice President, CLINICAL Services

Christiana Mangiapane is a New York State Licensed Master Social Worker with a master’s degree from Adelphi University. She began her career at Family & Children’s Association (FCA) as a student intern and then advanced from Program Coordinator to Director of Senior Mental Health Services. She assisted with securing substantial state and federal grant funding, greatly expanding the program’s reach. She oversaw community outreach, education, and direct services for older adults, focusing on substance use, mental health, and aging services.

Christiana emphasizes a holistic, person-centered approach and is dedicated to integrated care. She is involved in various community initiatives, including the Nassau County Mental Health Veteran Suicide Prevention coalition and the Safe Seniors Prevention coalition. She has a strong focus on community outreach and engagement to reduce stigma and address the barriers to accessing care. Passionate about crisis intervention, she is trained in LivingWorks ASIST, safeTALK, and Mental Health First Aid. Christiana was awarded the LIBN Emerging Leaders Under 30 Award in 2024.

A strong advocate for professional development, Christiana has mentored numerous interns and professionals, contributing to their growth and the community’s well-being. She leads with kindness, curiosity, and a strong focus on collaboration.  In her role as AVP of Clinical Services, Christiana is committed to ensuring access to integrated behavioral health services across Long Island through the implementation of the CCBHC model and the clinics at FCA.
