SNUG – Gun Violence Reduction
It’s time to disrupt the cycle of gun violence in our most vulnerable communities.
Our Program
SNUG, “guns” spelled backwards, also known as Should Never Use Guns, is an evidence-based violence reduction initiative promoting safer communities.
Through a strong partnership with the Village of Hempstead, FCA engages faith leaders and influential community figures in a collective mission.
The SNUG program empowers credible messengers—trusted individuals with lived experience—to work directly alongside neighbors striving to build better futures. Together, they foster resilience, renewal, and positive change.
Hempstead SNUG is funded by NY State Division of Criminal Justice Services.
