THRIVE Recovery Community & Outreach Center
THRIVE stands for: Transformation. Healing. Recovery. Inspiration. Validation. Empowerment.
THRIVE is a peer-led, peer-driven community center where individuals and families come together to find hope, build connections, and strengthen their recovery. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to maintain long-term recovery, THRIVE is here to walk with you—every step of the way.
Since opening our doors in March 2017 as Long Island’s first recovery community and outreach center, THRIVE SUFFOLK has been a welcoming place where individuals and families come together to find hope, build connections, and strengthen their recovery.
Born out of the urgent need to respond to the heroin and opioid crisis, THRIVE has grown because of the powerful stories of healing and resilience we see every day. That’s why we’ve expanded—with THRIVE Nassau opening in 2019 and THRIVE East End joining the family in 2021—so even more people can find a supportive community to lean on.
THRIVE is a free, non-clinical, peer-led space where everyone is welcomed with kindness and respect—no matter where you are in your journey.

Our Services
Recovery Coaching
Our recovery coaches aren’t just guides—they’re peers who truly understand the ups and downs of recovery because they’ve been there themselves. Through weekly one-on-one sessions, coaches walk alongside you, helping you build a support system, overcome obstacles, and create a recovery plan that fits your unique path.
Peer Support Groups & Workshops
At THRIVE, you’ll find a variety of welcoming peer-led groups that meet you where you are—whether you prefer 12-step programs like AA and NA, non-secular options like Recovery Dharma, secular groups like SMART Recovery, All Recovery Meetings or harm reduction and medication-supported meetings.
We also offer wellness activities like yoga and hikes, plus workshops on life skills, job readiness, and community involvement. And don’t miss our fun, substance-free social events—like the Sober Bowl, holiday parties, dances, and game nights—where friendships grow and healing happens.
