GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – September 2026 — Family & Children’s Association (FCA) is building momentum for an exciting new community event that will transform Giving Tuesday into Doing Tuesday this December. As preparations ramp up for the inaugural FCA Do Good Games, the organization is proud to announce its first event sponsors: PSEG Long Island, Community Champion Sponsor, Jovia Financial Credit Union, Color Captain and All-Star Squad, Goidel Law Group, Lanyard Sponsor, and Nixon Peabody, Impact Station and All-Star Squad.
Set for December 1, FCA’s Do Good Games will offer Long Islanders a fresh and engaging way to make a difference. Part volunteer event, part friendly competition, and entirely focused on community impact, the experience will bring teams together to complete hands-on service projects that directly benefit FCA programs and the people they serve.
“We’re incredibly excited to welcome our first sponsors,” said Paige O’Brien, Chief Development Officer and Vice President of Strategic Advancement at FCA. “Their early support sends a powerful message about the importance of community involvement, and we hope others will join them in making a difference through this exciting new initiative for Long Island.”
The Do Good Games represent a new chapter for FCA. For decades, the organization’s Fall Harvest Gala has been a cornerstone fundraising event. This year, FCA is reimagining what community engagement can look like by creating an experience that invites participants to roll up their sleeves and become part of the impact.
During the event, teams will compete in meaningful service challenges, including assembling winter warmth kits for families in need, creating holiday stockings for children, writing encouragement cards for isolated seniors, and completing other activities that support FCA’s programs across Long Island. At the end of the evening, one team will earn the title of FCA Do Good Games Champion, but every participant will leave knowing they made a tangible difference.
“FCA has always done its best work in the community, side by side with the people we serve,” O’Brien said. “The Do Good Games give Long Islanders an opportunity to experience that work firsthand while having fun and connecting with others who care about making a difference.”
“PSEG Long Island is committed to being a strong, positive presence in the communities where we live and work, and we are thrilled to be the Community Champion sponsor of the FCA’s Do Good Games,” said Brigitte Wynn, PSEG Long Island’s Director of Revenue Operations and FCA board member. “Every day, we work to connect our most vulnerable customers to the assistance they need, and we will be cheering in December as the teams at the Do Good Games assemble care packages for the very same purpose.”
“Giving back has always been an important part of who we are at Jovia, and FCA’s Do Good Games offer a creative new way to turn that commitment into action,” said Peter Purpura, Vice President of Business Development at Jovia Financial Credit Union. “We’re excited to roll up our sleeves alongside the other teams, make a difference for our neighbors across Long Island, and help kick off what we hope will become a great new tradition.”
“Goidel Law Group has a longstanding commitment to philanthropy, and to the vulnerable adults and individuals with neurodegenerative conditions and neurodiversity we’re honored to serve,” said Wendy Goidel, founder of Goidel Law Group. “Supporting FCA’s Do Good Games feels like a natural extension of that mission — turning generosity into direct, tangible action for our community.”
“Nixon Peabody is proud to partner with FCA in this exciting new event, which will undoubtedly have a lasting positive impact on our communities,” said Timothy D. Sini, Partner and Chair of Nixon Peabody’s Litigation Department. “We congratulate FCA for once again being a pioneer in creating community experiences that empower our most vulnerable neighbors.”
