Julie Robinson-Tingue

VP & Chief of Staff

A well-known and respected veteran in the corporate, healthcare and nonprofit executive and communications industries, Julie Robinson-Tingue is Vice President/Chief of Staff of Family and Children’s Association (FCA). In this newly created position, Robinson-Tingue is a strategic partner providing high-level internal and external support to the President and CEO, and works closely with other c-suite leaders, front line teams and administrators to implement and improve communications frameworks across the organization to strengthen a culture of value and inclusion among FCA’s employees.

Prior to joining FCA, Robinson-Tingue spent 2 1/2 years with Optum Health (part of UnitedHealth Group), most recently as Senior Director, Corporate Communications. She was part of a national corporate communications team that develops and oversees strategic processes and provides counsel for all executive, internal and external communications that impact Optum care delivery organizations nationwide. Before her tenure at Optum, Robinson-Tingue was Senior Director, Strategic Communications for Northwell Health, where she built and led the communications team that launched the health system’s first comprehensive $1B philanthropic campaign. She is a graduate of Northwell Health’s 2016 High Potential Experiential Executive Development Program reserved for the top one percent of its leaders and was selected as part of President & CEO Michael Dowling’s faculty as a Beginnings facilitator, the culture and orientation team that welcomed more than 200 new employees each week to that health system.

Robinson-Tingue has also held leadership roles at United Way of Long Island, New York Blood Center, Weber Shandwick and Stony Brook Medicine. She has worked as a strategist and communications consultant for several high-profile national and international organizations and has volunteered her counsel and expertise for local school board elections and community endeavors.

A former broadcast and print journalist – who ironically studied aerospace engineering in college – Robinson-Tingue is a frequent public speaker, spokesperson and sought-after mentor to women and mothers navigating their career journeys. Her hobbies include world travel, outdoor sports and fitness and crisscrossing the country to catch her kids’ NCAA collegiate sports games. Those who know her know she manifests her personal mantra, “Don’t just exist and don’t waste time… Go big or go home and relish every day.”

Robinson-Tingue lives in Bay Shore, NY with her husband and two children.
