As the summer months approach, many of our clients begin to feel their stress levels rise in anticipation of the services that will come to a screeching halt for their families.  Things such as childcare, breakfast and lunch, healthcare, even some of the social and emotional aspects that school provides.

This is where Family & Children’s Association comes in. Founded as an orphanage 140 years ago, our organization has responded to Long Island’s growing needs back then and continues to do so today. We provide over 45 essential services to 35,000 local Long Islanders annually – but we cannot fight the summer heat alone.

From confidence building to promoting independence, summer camp offers a wealth of benefits. And though many children anticipate the opportunity to attend, for some families, the cost of camp can be a significant burden, and their kids miss out on this valuable experience.
