Garden City, N.Y., September 12, 2022 – FCA, a leading health and human services not-for-profit organization on Long Island, hosted its annual All Staff Outing on Friday, September 9th, 2022. The outing was held at Camp Edey, a Girl Scout camp in Bayport, NY.
The day began with a delicious breakfast and opening remarks from Angela Montemarano, FCA’s VP and Chief Human Resources Officer and Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds, FCA’s President & CEO. Staff then got to participate in a variety of fun activities that promote self-care.
There was Painting by the Lake, led again this year by Jodi Larcom of Jodi’s Gallery, where staff were guided to create a lighthouse and beach scene to soak up the last of summer. Yoga by the Lake, led once again this year by Lauren Reek of Lauren R. Yoga, was a popular way for staff to unwind and get back into their bodies. There were also archery lessons, led by Camp Edey staff.
And new this year, there were Sound Meditations, led by FCA’s very own John Farrell of Vibrational Sound Works. These meditations were a crowd favorite, giving staff a space to slow down and relax in the company of their peers. There was also free play of Volleyball and Basketball for staff looking for some friendly competition and athletic activities. Better Burger LI provided an amazing lunch and Mr. Softee even made an afternoon appearance!
All in all, it was a special event which celebrated the dedicated staff who carry out FCA’s mission to serve Long Island every day.
