Long Island Elite Announces Family & Children’s Association as the 2026 Charity Partner of the Year

LONG ISLAND, NY — Long Island Elite (LIE) is proud to name Family & Children’s Association (FCA) as its 2026 Charity Partner of the Year, recognizing the organization’s deep and impactful commitment to supporting all Long Islanders facing social, emotional or economic challenges.

Supporting community benefit organizations for more than 24 years, the Long Island Elite honors local nonprofits whose mission, values, and work significantly improve quality of life in our region. As the LIE Charity Partner of the Year, FCA’s selection reflects its long-standing history of community service and its wide-reaching programs that promote wellness, resiliency, and opportunity for Long Islanders experiencing social, emotional, and economic challenges.

Founded in 1884, FCA is a non-sectarian, not-for-profit organization that has grown, evolved and responded to meet the needs of the region. It’s dedicated to protecting and strengthening Long Island’s most vulnerable families, children, seniors, individuals, and communities.

“FCA’s work embodies the spirit of community uplift,” said Long Island Elite Co-President Benjamin Cooper. “Their dedication to children, families, and individuals — especially those facing complex life challenges — makes them an extraordinary partner for 2026. The Long Island Elite and its members are excited to raise funds for this extraordinary organization”

FCA is shaping a brighter future for the next generation through prevention, early intervention and sustained support at multiple levels. Offering more than 60 comprehensive programs, its goal is to help individuals and families navigate today’s challenges while building a lasting foundation of stability and opportunity.

FCA’s wide range of programs are designed to promote health, resilience, and self-sufficiency for individuals of all ages, including but not limited to:

  • Youth & Mental Health Services: Free, voluntary services for youth up to age 21 — including therapy, rehabilitation, peer support, and family services — designed to support those with or at risk of developing mental health diagnoses.
  • Emergency Shelter & Homeless Youth Support: Crisis intervention and stable shelter options for runaway and homeless teens, along with transitional living supports.
  • Family Support & Case Management: Tailored support plans, home visits, referrals, and caregiver resources that strengthen family functioning and stability.
  • Independent Living & Success Programs: Skills building for youth aging out of foster care and educational support programs such as “Ladders to Success” to prepare teens for college and career pathways.

These services are free or at a reduced cost, with or without insurance, voluntary, and offered in settings — whether at home, in the community, or in comfortable office environments — that best meet the client’s needs.

“We are deeply honored to be selected as Long Island Elite’s 2026 Charity Partner of the Year,” said FCA President & CEO Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds. “This partnership reflects a shared belief that every Long Islander deserves meaningful support, and together we can create lasting change to meet the needs of our community.”
