Fca Calltoaction 1920 800

On Long Island, homelessness often hides in plain sight —  tucked away on quiet suburban streets, in cars parked overnight, beneath boardwalks, and in makeshift encampments along major highways.  Among these hidden spaces are hundreds of runaway, homeless, and trafficked youth.

They are cold, hungry, scared and alone.

For only $19 a month, you can change HOMELESS into HOME.

-and together, we can give them all a chance for HOPE.

Help us rewrite their story.

FCA’s Nassau Haven is certified by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services as a shelter for runaway and homeless youth. Services are provided in accordance with the New York State Runaway and Homeless Youth Act.

DONATION FAQ

Why donate to FCA?

In addition to the work we do with homeless youth, Family & Children’s Association (FCA) is one of Long Island’s oldest health and human service nonprofit organizations, supporting more than 35,000 individuals each year — from age 2 to 102, and everyone in between. Founded in 1884, we’ve grown, evolved, and responded to meet the needs of the region. We provide assistance to those facing social, emotional, and economic challenges, focusing on stability, safety, mental health, substance use disorder support, and pathways to long-term self-sufficiency for our neighbors who need it most.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. FCA is a 501(c)(3) organization, and all contributions are eligible for tax deductions throughout the year.

FCA has earned Candid’s Platinum Seal of Transparency which is the highest level of recognition for nonprofits.  This shows that FCA has provided extensive, detailed information about our mission, programs, finances and impact and demonstrates accountability and a commitment to openness.
